Well yes that’s what I’m saying. Payment is still done but they need confirmation of delivery first. Without the delivery confirmation I’d have to wait till 2nd April for the payout and like you say they must sit on a ton of money with interest being collected in the mean time
What really threw me off if that the feckin bastards charge you for international sales it seems.
So if you sell at £150 in UK, buyer pays around £155, but if you sell the same item at the same price internationally, buyer pays £150 (+ whatever tax his government robs him for), but you're only getting paid £145 and ebay pockets £5, unless I'm missing something.

The worst thing is that prices shown to buyer and seller are different.

I told a seller I'd offer 185
He said great.
So he was puzzled that I appeared to offer him £177
Then when he accepted, ebay attempted to make me pay through them rather than CoD, so wouldn't mark his listing as sold.
I get sellers freaking out that they haven't got the money and won't let me collect - I have to send screenshots of the transaction details and explain Ebay has their money.
Who thought that was a good idea?

Never sold internationally tbh so can’t comment.
But the new system is just odd. One price for the seller and one for the buyer being different.
It's daft, but in addition to that it looks like if you advertise for sale a higher value item, say £3-4k with international shipping, you'll get £150 less if it happens to sell internationally.
That's some serious racket from ebay.
Unfortunately, no other platforms with half as decent international customer base.

Yes, that's correct. If a buyer is International then the UK seller pays a 3% fee on the total value of the sale - which includes not just item price, but postage cost, handling fees and import taxes as well(!)
It is for this reason that I have completely stopped all International sales. We always paid a fractionally higher fee on sales to International buyers under the old system, but this one is too much. If they plan to keep it, then these fees really need to be added to the buyer side for continuity. Otherwise, UK sellers risk selling for significantly less to an International buyer than they would to a UK buyer - I'm sure a large % of sellers aren't aware of this until they receive their reduced payout.

I sold at a guitar auction recently,
(my Teenage 60s vox phantom)
and some of the rare old pieces had to have a certificate to be sold abroad
like works of art!
I don't really see why bikes are different.
