Just bought a Cheapish singlespeed steed form Konadad. I'm doing a charity ride along the Leeds - Liverpool canal and did a 30 mile stretch of it today, and single speed makes total sense.
That Ala Carte is lovely, I'd have that any day (although I'm not sure about the saddle) - it needs something nicer than a bolt-on type tensioner though .

I'm not sure if you're referring to the White salsa above or my red one, either way the 'bolt on' Tensioner is a Paul Components one...very nice it is too!
Saddle is marmite I guess, but I wanted to try a Brooks, and as it cost a small fortune I'll at least give it the benefit of the doubt
And mine!
1999 Kona Cindercone, resprayed grey with triple butted P2s. All up weight is 20.9lbs (9.4kgs) including SPDs.
Hope Ultralight hubs, Mavic X517 / 317 rims with a BMX screw-on freewheel. The rear hub has the axle reversed and has reverse dish.
Muddleburn Uno on UN72 bottom bracket.
Avid 25 brakes with Avid Ti levers
Thomson seatpost, Hope headset, Syncros cattlehead stem and Answer hyperlite bars.
The saddle is a San Marco Bontrager Ti which I recovered.
