My new SS bike has been on the backburner for ages while i waited to get my rather cracked Ti Inbred frame repaired.
That frame is still the longterm home for all these parts, but I needed somewhere to park everything in the meantime.
Step forward keithyr on here and this 18/19"(depending how you measure it) Genesis IO frame.
She's not a minter, but i was only looking for a temporary home for the bits so no worries there.
Current build is;

2007(i think) Genesis IO frame
Vicious Cycles fork
Ritchey hub/Sun Ringle front wheel(10mm QR) Racing Ralph 650b tyre
90mm 6 degree rise Tune stem
On-one Fleagle bars
Crank Bros headset(until i get something that won't fall to bits  )
Shimano Saint M800 levers
XTR M960 calipers
Thompson post
Fizik Aliante Ti railed saddle
Salsa liplock clamp
XTR M960 cranks with 26t grannyring
XTR M960 BB
Shimano DX platform peddle(so i can jump off quick :D )
Hope XC SP 3 PRO hub/Mavic XM 819 rim rear wheel Michelin Wild Grip 'R' tyre(temporary)
Gusset wide flange 13t rear sprocket
Retro Crud catcher.

I hope to have a shakedown test on friday afternoon if i can figure how to seal the new fangled tubeless rear tyre :D
She is currently my 'pride and joy'

I haven't tried it yet but i can't see a problem, hopefully :D
M960 middlerings are quite simply out of my price range, 4 bolt grannyrings are the same bolt pattern on everything, they come in 26t and are cheap plus most are steel so they last longer.
I'm sure some will mind fault with the set up, but its not coming off until i have discovered wether its crap or not

I had quite a long chat with a young bmx-er about the advantages of using such small cogs. He said acceleration...

Heres my old one (when it was new!)
New one being planned...

I like this thread. Been riding single since 2000. A few months ago I finished, kind of, a 2007 Bullit and am currently building a 2001 RM6. Still messing with drivetrain setups but the Bullit is pretty sweet for my riding style. Of course these are for freeride and DH. I have a singlespeed Yeti ARC for XC. Building singlespeed bikes is a addiction!
