Itch scratched, stem & saddle will be going back on the lads road bike, post & tyres are heading off to new pastures on my touring bike, the wheel set’s going back into storage and the rest going off on eBay

Took the Ribble out for its shakedown ride today. a bit rough on the backside but light, quick and nimble. I'll have to be careful or I could end up liking these modern bikes!
Perhaps wider tyres would have been more comfortable but 25mm is the widest the chainstays will accept.

Go for a CB Dalesman, swap out the 27's for some fat 700c's... job done..

Forgot to mention that on the Holdsworth Mistral/Claud Butler Dalesman you will have to swap the short reach Weinmann 610 front caliper for a 730, I'm running Mafac Model S which are lighter and stiffer with 32mm folding Vittoria Zaffiro Pros, 35mm will fit no probs... Retrobike sticker is optional...
