It would seem as though my 390mm forks could be a bit short and would therefore explain why it feels a tad nervous. Out of interest, I managed to calculate the angles (via photos and AutoCAD) and they worked out at roughly 73degrees for both head and seat tubes. Whether that's right or not, I don't know, but it would make sense with the shortish forks.
