Got a Frenchie, fnar fnar....!! (Sunn content)

Re:

Well, the steerer on the RST's was not long enough to fit anything other than a really spindly stem, and I think it needs longer travel forks anyway....

Not a lot of stand over height for me. I kind of like it though, but probably not enough to persevere with it. Any ideas what the value of the frame is peeps, or shall I stick it up as a 'what's it worth'?

Re:

That will very much depend on whether I keep it and can find some forks with a longer steerer :D

At the moment, it will be pretty much period correct, but not OEM stuff....

Thought sunn usually stamp the model name into the bb shell. Cant go wrong with a sunn.

Cooler than a cucumber in an igloo ,

Often overlooked in favour of the big K , which is good for me . That's how I got hold of one ;)

I've got a 'K' already, so suits me!! Just been out there looking at it again, think will persevere and at least have a go at riding it once I've got some forks.

Where on the BB will it say the model?? Can only see the serial number! And is there any way of knowing if it was a team frame?

just posted in your other thread:

"I had one of these for a year or so in around 2002, mine was orange though, great bike, I absolutely ragged mine to within an inch of its life it was so much fun!"

Re:

Thanks Matt, was just about to post a reply in the for sale section, but then the 'net crashed

They do look great, truth is I will keep it and build it up if it doesn't go, just got some more work which means I have the money for decent forks, but not the time for it! Out of interest, what do you think is best travel wise, for the front end...??

Re:

I ran it with the original dual crown sun obsys forks to begin with which were 100mm but tall for the travel, they weighed a ton though, eventually settled on 130mm Z1 after a brief flirt with a single crown shiver which the. Went on another bike, it seemed to ride best with around 130mm on the front as the Z1 was about the same Xle to crown as re dual crowns that came off it.

It was proper hooligan bike and I loved it!

I managed to pic up a little Sunn Crosss UN steel hardtail last weekend too so it's a week of Sunns obviously!
