from polishing by hand

Whenever I polish stuff I do it by hand (unless I drop it to a pro)

I’ve got the process nailed for BB GT frames by using a low grit paper and working up to maybe 1200. Followed by a hand polish with mother’s mag. This removes all the deeper and light marks well.

Obviously this is time consuming and tiring.

So I’ve purchased a bench polisher in the hope I can cut some effort out.

Now my question is … what mops do I need to clean up a scratches up all part or frame. Do i use flap wheels , sisal or cloth mops?

It’s come with likely the final soft mops which aren’t any good for the prep stages.

Impressive socket selection and layout! Noice! Which way will the filth flick-up though? If a bit backwards thems sockets will get filthy. As for mops no idea 🙃

Cheers - The polisher isn’t staying in that spot. I’ve a section of bench that has a work area where any spray won’t matter.
