Going Straight

Reason I ask -the 'Wyld' colour that still remains in places on that old Selbach was a truly superb colour -layers of coloured Lacquer (yellow tint) over a nickel plated frame -that was Reynolds tubing, pre 531. The Colour can be replicated with paint quite well, but the Nickel is a really good protector and gives a falmboyant depth which makes the frame shine in sunlight -the Victorians used to paint over silver + gold leaf to similar effect -getting a glow effect. Was just thinking for the Hetchins, the Kandy paint layer has very poor adhesion, even with a tint..so thinking long term. -May paint or anodise this one for the Mrs if she takes to it ;)
