It won't be the ecu, maybe an abs sensor.

The ecu needs wheel speed information for the brakes, steering, airbags and so on. One sensor down and it will throw up all sorts of errors

Thanks, dude. Drove to the shop this evening and the lights didn’t come up for the first time in a while. Another forum suggested it’s a worn battery issue. Looked at getting a new one and was shocked at what they cost nowadays. Oh well! Cheers, T..

Could be a battery issue, a lot of PSA based cars shut down none essential control modules if battery isn't holding healthy so you can get home, tell tail sign is lack of power assisted steering
