Thanks Kaiser - I stumbed accross Ison shortly after sending my previous post and will try and get one of the 25.4 ones through them.
As for drop bars .... they would take me in the wrong direction, but I'm a great fan of oddbal bar set ups:

Running these Moustache bars inverted baffled passers-by, we're comfy and made an awesome climbing setup.
But descending... the road levers couldn't cope with cantilevers and the narrow width made things very hairy on the steep stuff.
