Gloves or No Gloves that is the question!

Seasonal innit.

I do gloves in winter for warmth, no gloves in spring coz its warm enough you don't need em but not hot enough that you're sweating tons, mitts in summer to soak up the sweat and increase grip, no gloves in autumn.

As a motorcyclist and cyclist of many years, I wear gloves every trip. And I've had a lot of spills, at all sorts of speeds, on road and trail to justify wearing them. Leave them off, literally, at your peril! They increase your ability to grip when sweaty too, that's win-win in my book.

Yep that totally sums it up for me

Re:

Gloves for me as well..mainly for the sweaty palm/grip issue.

Tan lines on the fingers can look a bit odd, mind you...

Nowadays on mountain bikes i wear gloves, just because i sweat more. Used to not wear gloves on mountain bikes and bmx as more control/contact with bars when doing tricks and jumps.

I think it was someone like Sam Hill who took his shirt off after a race to show he hadnt been wearing armour, it then became a fashion statement kind of thing to not wear armour or gloves on downhill.
