1050g, €1500!

Put a straight downtube on it and it would be perfect ;)

All the best,

I think you should buy me one, I'll show you pictures of it on my new (to me) Sunn Urge Comp 999

Re:

Nice fork, however I'm not impressed with the shock position, especially if it was to be ridden in typical UK weather etc.

The rest of the bike is stunning though :D

We only care about the UK weather as a factor because we cannot leave for sunnier lands.Permanently

Its a nice overall bike. So many utterly rubbish looking XC types i was beginning to think they didnt have a rigid specification for what constitutes one.

That really cracks it  but do they come in purple ?

Re:

Its not the shock id worry about but the linkage joints/bearings.

Next time you do a muddy ride, notice that the mud ijs mostly on the underside and rear of the fork crown, the legs are mostly clean.

If you buy the standard shock, the seals face downwards...good idea. For some reason the upgrade airsick faces upwards.

On the bearings, they are all standard industrial rubber sealed cassette bearings run at 90degrees to the direction of mud. Movement of the suspension does not draw grit into the bearing, unlike telescopics.
. Far better than the plain bronze or Teflon/nylon stuff on older linkage forks, and likely to be cleaner than the wiper seals on telescopic forks.

All the best,

Re:

If you look at the second photo, the shock is fitted in the conventionak way, better for reasons you stated and would be slightly less unsprung weight.

To op, where did you see that and £??

It looks like the product of a one night stand between an AMP and a Look Fournales
