im currently restoring a proflex 955 for a local rider and the forks elastomers are shot, ive seen other forks wth coil springs on them and would like to go the same way with these forks, so is there a coil spring available for this fork that simply swaps out with the elastomers and if so could someone point me in the right direction or does anyone have one they might be willing to swap for some beer tokens. cheers in advance.

does it have an ODS unit (oil damping system) , cant quite see ?
ive stripped them down and not come across any oil damper but the damper has a little plastic ball inside if that description helps.
cheers mark

have seen elcheepo e-bay shocks fitted to these before

or landrover suspension bushes

do me a favour tho and measure the center to center size on the front shock

not really sure cos all my info is on my laptop , but i dont think this set up has any damping , so it'll just be a pogo stick
so your better off sticking to elastomer

hight of the shock is 62mm and width is 42mm ive heard somthing before about landrover bushes but would you know wich bushes are used ?

It looks like the front "shock" is one of the elastomer ones, which are prone to deteriorating over time.
I think the better option would be to replace with another elastomer.
Try suspensionforkparts.net, they may have direct fit replacements.
There are Landrover bushes which can be used instead though, although I can't remember exactly which ones just now, but a good Search on here should bring up the result for you.

Edit: I think these are the ones... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rove...M&hash=item3a4bd7e3ff&clk_rvr_id=388419890383

thats the disance between the collers that hold the elastomer and the 42 is the inner width of the coller so if i w as o change for springs theats the dimensions i would need.
