A friend of my brother inlaw has asked me to build up a frame he's bought, its a Gios Evolution Lite in a really horrible colour scheme

The top half is a purple/lavendar colour and the bottom half is a pea green colour :?

The only other sticker on it says Oria cs22 or something like that anyway, I'll look properly later and get a pic at the same time.

Anyone got any info on it at all as google searches are coming up with nothing :?

Its nothing fancy as its not exactly lightweight  but it would be nice to give him some details about it like a date and where it came in the lineup ;)

here is some info on the gios evolution. I think the evolution lite came after this and was built with german steel. I remember the purple and green colour scheme.

My friend has an Evolution, kitted out with modernish gear & carbon wheels which looks mad

Not hijacking just trying to show they aren't that bad a looking machine.

nice...

i'm having trouble fitting a head set to one of these frames. it seems the head tube is slightly bigger than the standard 30.2

and the thread on the forks doesn't take an ISO thread.

the Oria mannesmann tubing appears to be of a slightly different size. (maybe austrian?)

I have a Shimano HP-5500 that appears to fit but i am missing the lock nut and spacer ring.

Could you ask what headset he has used on this frame?

No idea what headset sorry but I don't remember it being an odd size, in my defence it was six years ago :)
