Giant DH carbon fibre

achrys

Retro Newbie
Possible sale - never used - immaculate. Long story.

Need to find out more re value, but need to know whether there's any interest in these older frames.

Would possibly consider a part/ex for a nice road bike (large frame)

Thanks in advance.

Alex

ps. pics will follow shortly, but frame is A1

Thanks for the offer bighit, but I'll be looking for a complete bike. Too lazy to strip mine down, so all will go. Off the top of my head, it has rockshox judy forks, mix of xt & lx, and mavic 220 wheels. Sorry for the lame description, but I just haven't taken an interest for a long time. Child & motorbiking has zapped up my free time. Oh, and it's the full suspension DH 990 or 980 (black carbon and red painted metal)

Looking to pick up a nice light roadbike to get fit again (same old story! lol)

Will try to find some time this week to get some pics, but there's a load of junk blocking the bike in.

Definately need a pic.
I remember Giant doing a black and red bike but I though the number was alot higher like 1100 or 1200. Shock was on a giant rocker by the downtube.

Or am I thinking of something completely different?! :?

Can't think of any other carbon ATX's.

Carbon version of that is MCM980 and MCM990 I've just brought one after looking for one for years, think they were more a XC bike than downhill though :) Oh and the MCM's were 980 carbon front red aluminium backend and 990 was black with yellow back end. Like soo..

Blimey I'm useful for once well possibly lol.

That pretty much looks like it, but it definately has 990 or 980 on it - I'm sure of it. Black frame and Red suspension unit (RockShox). Not sure what was changed on the bike before I received it.

I was owed a fair sum a while back from a publishing firm after I did some freelance design work for them. They offered me the bike which they used for a photoshoot (knowing I was after a bike). The badge at the front still had the plastic on it. There was one minor scuff on the frame (so minimal, it wasn't even an issue) and I could see it had never been out of the studio.

I must have used it on the road about 9 or 10 times (approx 40mile sunny weather round trips). I like the bike, but I won't be doing any 'off-roading' so there's no point in keeping it. I'd rather see someone use it for what it was meant to be used for, or at least go to someone who will appreciate it.

All I want really is a fair deal on it, for cash or nice light road bike (large frame for a 6'3" big lad! lol)

Will try my best to get some pics asap - just real lazy!

Lol I only know because I've been searching for one for years ever since I first saw a pic of one, took me ages to even find out what model it was and not much info on them, find some specs though on google and they got great reviews on mtbr, they are definitely more a XC bike than DH though nice and light, although that's probably a good thing on here as most people seem to me more about the XC lol, I don't know you search for one for years, finally find one and buy it and then another frame shows up on ebay and then this ones turns up here as well
