Giant Cadex cfm3 restoration advice

Bit of an update, I've stripped the frame and got it ready for a coat of lacquer.

I'm looking at replacing the braking system with these

Having taken the old brakes off the bolts are stuck, or I'm not sure if they can be removed.

I've had a look and I can't find any replacements, does anyone know where to get the long pivot bolts from?

thanks

Re:

clamp the round part at the back and then undo them. maybe some penatrating oil, wd40 or better if needed.

Re:

Nice job.

The scruffy seat post lets it down a bit though. Also, I'd fit a chain stay protector.

Re:

Always thought these were beautiful looking bikes and might well have ended up with one if I hadn't bought the Kirk which was slightly earlier from memory.

Lovely restoration too. One of the few giants I would have considered owning.

Re: Re:

Thanks for the positive comments. It's been a while since I got my hands dirty. I enjoyed doing this one (for my sons birthday).

Chain stay protector arrived today. Looking for seat and seat post.

Not sure of the size of the seat post, need to measure the diameter.

Both of those look like nice seats, I was thing of saving a few more pennies cheapskate. The lad's only 12, probaly get ripped when he throws it on the floor.
