Giant ATX - one DH

Hey chaps,

I have a Giant ATX one DH that is being reborn... the problem is it doenst have the original rear shock on it anymore and I am unsure of what to get for it...

would anybody happen to know the original eye to eye length and the stroke? I believe it was a Rockshox Super Deluxe..

It actually has Goldtec/BETD 8" travel conversion plates on the rear but they assure me these were designed with the original shock in mind (though they and MOJO couldn't remember the original specs).

I hope somebody can help, eager to get him back together..!

Kind regards,

fritz

ps. and yes I shall post a picture soon.

hey fritz,

phone giant on 0115 9775900, ask for the technical dept, they are usually pretty good, i think russ is the parts/warranty manager, he was when i used to work at a giant dealer, he's a top bloke and he will have been there long enough to know or find the correct details.

off the top of my head though i think it was 195mm

hope that helps

Thanks buddy, I shall go ahead and do that! I was guessing 200mm or close to... just the stroke i wasn't that sure on..

thank you very much,

fritz

(though if anyone else wants to put there pennies worth in crack on...)

its your lucky day - I mesured mine last night (ATX one DH 2000 i think)

eye to eye is 216mm but it will take most 222mm shocks (if my calcs are correct)

the mounting kit is 10mm so either drill it out or get reducers if you want to run a newer shock.

Mine has a pro deluxe - will take it off to mesure stroke in a week or so but I think its 2.25" or mibbie 2.5

Im thinking of puting a dhx5 air shock on mine or something that i can get a ti spring for. cant decide whether it has to have old school stuff all over it :)

also after any atx parts over here in NZ or in scotland :)

got a new almost "top secret" project on the go :)

If you find any usefull info let me know :)
