Why, exactly, do so many Germans (too specific? - Europeans?) photograph their eBay parts on digital scales? Not that weight and knowing the weight isn't important - of course it is when you're buying $100 ti skewers, but it would be pretty easy to fake the weight on the display with the tare button, so it doesn't really provide any additional guarantee. And most people who spend that much probably researched the specs in advance. Just a micro marketing trend I guess.
