General frame filling/repair

Hi all,
I'm sure this may have been asked a few times, but what's the best way of filling small marks ie chainsuck & small nicks in frames before sandblasting and powdercoating.
Is there some kind of liquid metal of compound that will work for this.
Both steel & ali frames advice needed.

Car body filler?

I use it when I modify Xbox's... so it must work !!! hehe

The white areas are simple car body filler.

I use Isopon P38 from Halfords.

Seriously though, I guess you could treat a bike like a car... ?

Plastic or epoxy filler won't work prior to powder coating. Powder coating only works on metallic/conductive things, so you could flood brazing over the area and then smooth it down.

Silver solder IMO is the best fix for a steel frame

Plastic fillers do work with powder, but they have to be able to survive 180ºC.
JB weld classic works, well I suppose it does I am using a tube of JB weld
I bought in about 1990, I am guessing it will be the same as 'classic'.
I think lead free solder will work.
