Gen 1 Mavic Crossmax 2 wheel set 26”

I bought these new in 1998 for a cannondale F1000. Luckily I got sponsored and got a second set to race on. These have had a very easy life only being used for 10-15 rides.

Wheel are in excellent used condition, with minimal wear and only the slightest showing of pitting. Very hard to get it picked up in the pictures it so slight.

Have the skewers which seem to always be missing. Again in great condition as in the pictures.

Pin straight and true. Hubs spin freely and smooth.

No marks to the rim at all, I’ve never used a lever to change tyre as (I think I’ve only ever taken them off to change to latex tubes) the IRC Mythos can be eased off by hand.

100/135mm Quick Release

8-11 speed Shimano/SRAM splined

Weights:

- Rear 871g

- Front 667g

Also included are two pairs of NOS ceramic pads. Can also throw in the set I have on the cannondale if wanted (very little use).

Located in Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK.

Could send at buyers cost but prefer not to with these.

Hi @sheppf1000 , is there any or much corrosion on the black spokes? I have a few sets of 700cc Mavic Ksyrium Elite UST's and the older set seem to suffer from this, my guess your Crossmax 2's are fine if they have not been out much in the weather? Cheers Stephan.

Hi, they are the first generation CrossMax. Absolutely no corrosion any where, they are in extremely good condition. I haven’t ridden them much since 1998, and definitely not wet often!
