Just found the post after a search on web.
Restoration coming soon on https://veloretrocourse.proboards.com/

The delivery did not went smooth.
The object had been recorded as sent on Jan 01
Actually, it was after request that it was eventualy sent on Jan 13.
This and the undisclosed additional damages would not have made much difference in my decision.
However, it leaves a bitter taste and I'll hesitate to purchase again from the same source.

The frame was erroneously presented as french.
With the usual trick to add names as Herse or Singer.
This is not the case.

I kept my eyes opened on Geldof for more than 10Y.
Geldof was a 2 man business in center of Brussels and stopped to operate a long long time ago.
The tooling was taken over by Plume Sport (another great Brussels frame maker not to mix with Plum Vainqueur)

Several Geldof bikes have taken part to the Belgian Polymultipliée in 1953
No participation to the Belgian Concours de Machines 1947
Nor to the Concours 1948 (only 3 brands participated)

Fascinating frameset. If you like, make a build or presentaton thread on here, since you are a member now.;) I know there are plenty of people who are more than interested.

Hi,

I first need to progress on the cleaning, take pictures, etc...
The frame was absolutelly disgusting and the original color is slowly coming back.

For now, I'd just say that the wheels are 700C and that I'm cleaning my only spared Le Cyclo derailleur.
Belgian randonneur uses frequently 700C wheels, not as the usual French 650B.
Another wheel dimension used here was 650C and if it'd be the case, it would have been a problem

Meantime, you can see here the winning bike of the 1953 concours de Machines : https://veloretrocourse.proboards.com/thread/1701/tandem-maes-vainqueur-poly-bxl

Alternatively, kind UK people may help me to find unobtainium brakes for another of my belgian randonneuse: https://veloretrocourse.proboards.com/thread/1655/randonneuxe-vazifons?page=4
