What metal polish do you use?

So far didn't do any polishing.

That front derailleur was just degreaser, lots of rags and a bit of fine steel wool. You can still see some scratches on the aluminum body. The cage is (obviously) steel with good quality chrome plating. They'll last forever if you take care of them.

If you could bottle up some of your patience and dedication and post it over to me, I'd be very grateful...

It is a bit awe inspiring for me to see results like yours - I get bored / distracted / blisters way before I get things looking that good.

Ah! I have some of that super fine steel wool, I will be using that from now on with a touch of Autosol.
