Gazelle Champion Mondial

Great work you're doing there.

Not many in the road section seem to post all the detail of their build, but I really enjoy seeing just what you're doing, so thanks for posting.

Top effort, good work you are doing with it.

Assembled the crankset. Had to get "new" chainrings as the large one was wasted and small one was not even campagnolo. Got them both from fellow retrobike forum members. Thank you again!
Also got a new set of nuts. I was missing one and other was a bit bent.

Grease the bolts and tight'em down.

Couldn't help myself and mounted the pedals and dust-caps just to see how it looks!

"Closed" the rear hub only yesterday. This was the one that took new bearings. Out with the old in with the new.

Removed the dust-caps and finished that cleaning.

Greased both sides and put back the dust-caps.

In with the new.

Insert the axle and tighten those cones. Wheels are ready with a "new" freewheel and correct skewers.

While cleaning the frame in preparation for painting/retouching found the frame size engraved under the brake bridge. Nice!

Yes, that is were the Champion Mondials often had the size stamped. With earlier Champion Mondials the butterfly mentioned size and rear spacing on the back.

The lugs will probably say 'BCM' (Bocama) and the angle the lugs are suited for.
