Reduced Gazelle Champion Mondial 51cm 531c 1980s now £199

Audax type road/race bike from 1985 with Reynolds 531c frame, original Campagnolo components and a few later Shimano improvements.
Nice clean condition, all original paintwork and decals with few scratches and marks, rides straight and true, front rim has tiny kink.
Frame and forks: Reynolds 531c; main tubes butted, all others plain, top tube 21/1/4" 54cm, standover 31" 78cm
Campag parts: 52x36 GS chainset, b/b, hubs, headset, seatpin, f/d, brake levers, skewers
Shimano parts: RSX r/d,105 8spd indexed d/t levers, RX100 twin pivot q/r brakes, 6pd 14-28 f/wheel.
The indexing works well by altered clamping of the r/d cable.
Mavic G40 700c rims, d/b spokes, Panasonic Pasela PT 25c tyres in vgc, narrow mudguards,
Cinelli 64-42 bars, Specialized higher shorter stem, Stronglight extension headset nut, h/bar foam under tape, Exustar rat trap pedals, cheapo saddle
Also have original Campag d/t levers and brake calipers, Cinelli 45mm stem and receipt!

Believe I'm second owner, bought 1994 but not used for some years.

I'm happy to be corrected, but i think that tubing sticker suggests the whole frame - tubes and stays is 531 Competition (unless the sticker is an after-fit).

I also think the CM is a race frame. I'd be taking the mudguards off and trying to sell it as retro race bike - it will look better than what looks like shoehorned in mudguards

Agreed on both points, unless it says semi race on the non drive chainstay
 
Thanks for your helpful comments and suggestions. I agree about the guards although AFAIK I bought the bike from the first owner who bought it, for audax, fitted with mudguards. There's never been much clearance.

I'm happy that the stickers are original and the seat tube sticker reads "531c Fork Blades, Stays and Butted Main Tubes". I think from the Reynolds site that 531c had butted main tubes with plain everything else, and was no lighter or thinner than "standard" 531 - it probably just sounded better!

The frame number puts it at 1985 and I bought it in 1994. Pics of seat tube sticker now added.
