Its a lovely little bike, I bought it originally for my gf but she didnt like it :(

funny you should say that, it's new owner misses the sus forks that were on her old nadgered scally paper-round bike so I'm on the hunt for short (in every way)1 1/8" threaded sus forks for it now - shame as it looks ace with those rigids! Also the forks will need a hanger for the canti yoke... strong possibility that it'll get an ahead conversion as she needs a shorter stem anyway (and will need even shorter if the front end goes up an 1") and it'll be easier to source a short ahead stem that a 1 1/8" quill
 
Nice bike!

Bought the same model for my gf in 1997, she didn't like it either!
Still got it, must have done maximum 10 miles. It's living in the shed now and will come out when it's seriously retro.

Lovely paint job and a very light bike.
