Price dropped to £200 which I think is a bargain.

17.5" size, original made in the USA frame from Platinum Series ZR9000 Double Butted Tubing so very nice quality.

I brought the bike from this forum a couple of months ago as a part finished build and had intended it to be a winter bike but have changed my mind and moved onto another build.....

I have just got it back from the bike shop having had various new parts fitted and the only time I rode it was a 2 min test ride round down the road.

It has just had a new Sram PC951 chain fitted as the original I believe had rusted so was not included when I originally brought the bike.

It has has a brand new Truvativ Giga Pipe SL BB fitted and a brand new headset ( Quite a cheap one and I can't remember the brand name ). It has also had all the brake and gear inner / outer cables replaced.

The forks have no marks to the stanchions, the ETA feature works although it seems very similar to a lock out to me on the short test ride rather than a climb mode as intended and only the drops the fork a small amount, that said you can't really go much lower then 80mm !

The cassette and chainrings have minimal wear as can be seen in the pics and work perfectly with the new chain.

There are various marks on the bike but overall it is in very good to excellent condition in parts and there is no damage. Some parts are brand new as mentioned.

Both the frame, forks and wheels are disc compatible if you wanted to put disc brakes on it.

Spec of the bike listed below:

Frame: 17.5" Platinum Series ZR9000 double-butted aluminum | Genesis 29" Geometry

Fork: Marzocchi MX-Comp w/ETA 29" | 80mm travel

Wheels: Bontrager Race 29" disc-compatible OSB wheelsystem with Bontrager QR's

Tyres: Bontrager ( Cannot remember the model but will check )

Cranks: Bontrager Race 22/32/44

BB: Truvativ Giga Pipe SL ( New )

Chain: SRAM PC951 ( New )

Cassette: Sram 7.0 11-34

Shifters: Shimano Deore ( The indicators have some scratches to them )

Rear mech: Shimano XT

Front mech Shimano LX

Saddle: Specialized Alias 155 with Titanium Rails non standard and cost £60 when new.

Handlebars: Bontrager Iso Zone, these were non standard and cost about £50 when available ( These have a rubber insert under the grips which eliminates pressure )

Grips: Bontrager

Stem: Bontrager SSR

Seatpost: Bontrager Race

Brakes: Avid SD3 direct pull, not sure of the model number of the levers as not market on them.

Pedals: Brand new but very cheap quality ones and only had them fitted to test ride the bike.

£295 collected Surrey or postage on top, I really would prefer not to post though if possible as do not have the time or inclination to pack it up and arrange a courier.

Re:

The bike is now packed up but the sale I had agreed fell through so now happy to post, postage would be £20 insured so prepared to haggle on the final price. :)

Forget the pressies and buy the bike !!

I forgot to mention that it has now had a new sealed bearing headset fitted which cost £30 and a brand new Bontrager XR3 team issue rear tyre.

hi would this be too small for a 6 foot 1 rider ?
I have never tried anything other than road or 26" mtb so not sure on sizing ?
cheers
