Garmin Edge Touring and Edge Touring Plus discussion.

Got the Edge Touring here...
The missus and my lads got it between them for my xmas pressie, i only actually wantd something like the Edge 200 but she found this at a damn good price, fair play to her! The Garmin Express and Connect software is easy to use, and the data is easily moved over to Movescount...it gets loads of updates though and the map updates take hours...it must get 10 or 15 updates to each one our Garmin car sat-nav gets.
Oh, and i can confirm it is pretty well water resistant after launching it complete with my bike into the River Dee the weekend before last...

Cheaper, less features.
Doesn't do quite a lot of the interfacing with gadgets. So you can't have a powermeter for instance.
And try Open Source Mapping. Pretty much up there with OS maps. But free.
Some places they have more detail than the OS maps. (Especially off road)
