How worn are the rings on the deore chainset? Is the other 300LX stuff off your 1990 Fire Mountain?

Did you see my reply RE the 26.0 seatpost? The Kalloy posts are definitely in the AW shop in Reading and they've got 26.0 in stock. Maybe you can phone the shop direct?

Good spot! The Exage stuff is off the Fire Mountain. The Deore chainrings dont look at all bad to me but it's hard to tell. have a look at this and see if it helps.

how long is the 30.9 post(item 20) and wats the minum insertion? Ie so i cna get max useable length

I think it is shimmed for both. If you have a look you can see a shim on the base which converts from 1inch to 1 1/8 and again on the ahead end it has a shim.

I have used them for 1 inch quill to 1 1/8th stem clamp and that definately works.
