"Future" retro

as soon as everything made has hydraulic brakes and electronic gears, generally anything with cable pull components will seem really old

maybe the fsr's will become more retro and sort after soon

I reckon bikes that are popular now, will be retro in 10 years, but maybe more localised, Such as a 575 means heaps if your in colorado, im pretty sure theres a huge amount of bikes that arent going to be popular simply because they where only built to last 3 or so years before everything crapped out. if we where all paying stupied money to shimano for there monopoly at least the kit would last better, When i compare the look and feel of some of the xt / xtr kit to the kit of old, some of the old stuff looks way better in finish and durability.

Or if you ever own a nicolai of any year.. its very highly desirable

my lahar soft tail i think is a nz classic ("its also carbon!" 3.1 lb frame)

Maybe in the future a few 29's will be keepers, and some sort of popular dirt jumper like the stp. or more exotic ones like transition or dmr

we might see a tweak back to more commuter style bikes in general, then im sure we will be raiding our grandparents homes for old Hercules and the like bikes from the 30's on, gg stormy archer! I know in some parts of Colorado where people still ride bikes more than they use cars, schwins from pre 1960 get alot of street cred.. but alas such havens are few and far between,
