finally got round to getting it to bike shop today. and its not good news.
turns out the rear triangle of the fram has suffered some sort of hit/force thats shifted the rear drop out positions so that the are 5mm out.
it basically looked like this: (but a little less worse - but only a little):
mechanic also took other measurements from the front end of the frame to the rear drop outs on either side and they were ~5mm out too. its NOT a bent dropout as the picture above shows.
im just showing what tool he used in addition to the other checks he carried out.
so the question now is, shall i stick skinnier tyres on it and continue riding it (doenst seem to affect its handling)
or, limit it to garage queen status and strip, rebuild a new bike....
since its aluminium, it cant be forced back.
cant say im not gutted as i LOVE this frame and it took me a long time to come across one in these colours.....
