In the 2nd picture down, what's that bleedin great allen headed bolt in the centre of the non drive side crank?
Is that still present or did you lob it?

looks like the bolt with s/extractor ring missing!

The BB90 on one arm is a clue I think that these came off a carbon Trek as BB90 is a Trek "thing" hence the press fit bearings etc. Whether they can be made to work with anything else remains to be seen but I'm prepared to give it a go. Let me know when your LBS gives them back hopefully in 2 pieces Mike.

i also have a set of these, i got the guy i bought them from to take the left crank off before he sent cos i read this very thread back in jan.
here is what the bolt should look like

looks like it uses a standard self extracting bolt tool, but i dunno, might be a diff diam. didnt come with a special tool anyway.

the bb90 is just an enclosed pressfit version of ht2/gpx, it has the same overall spacing, and a 22mm axle, so i am assured they will fit a ht2 setup

all in all i recon biggest problem with this particular model is the odd bcd, 94mm 4 bolt (!) unique is the word.

mine came with 42/29 rings which i would be willing to sell if anyone is interested in these ones but doesnt like the 44 outer. im planning to get a custom ss ring cut at some point
