I recently got a used Kforce carbon 2x10 chainset(uses self extractor system),it doesnt have the little shim things that are used with the interface between crank and FSA B/B.Can I use it without the shims on a Shimano B/B?

I tried it a while ago and its a waay different system. My FSA crank uses the BB30 bottom bracket which has a larger diameter than a Shimano Hollowtech b/b.Makes no odds,I need a new B/B anyhow.Anyone ever use these cranks, they look seriously cool and even lighter than my M980 XTR.

Re:

I'm sure you know, but if you have bb30 cranks, you need a frame capable of running a bb30 bb.

I've got a set of the k-force cranks but I have the mega-exo version so it fits a standard bb shell.

Re:

I'm not sure you can. I remember looking years ago when I bought some turbines in bb30 by mistake. Maybe things have moved on, but I recall it being able to find frame converters from bb30 to threaded. I think it's due to the bb30 axle being wider.

Fingers crossed I'm wrong, but.....
