Hi all, selling this Merican frame & forks - I rarely rode it when it was built up and I'd rather someone else have it and enjoy riding it! It's in pretty good nick but there are some marks to the paint work as you'd expect and some slight crazing of the paint where the front mech was on the seat tube. There's the usual cable rub etc and a couple of chain slap marks. There are also marks on the rear stays too near the brake bridge. But the frame is straight, has no dings or dents and when built up rides like a dream, as you can imagine any Mercian does. I believe I'm only the third owner of this frame, I bought it from a gentlemen less than a year ago who switched to a mountain bike as it was easier to ride in his later years. The frame number is 77572 and confirmed by Mercian as 1977 build by Derek Land - there is the name Eric Bishop painted on the fork steerer too. I believe the frame is Reynolds 531, it has Campagnolo dropouts front and rear with mudguard eyes, bottle bosses, pump pegs and shot-in rear stays. It does not have gear bosses on the down the tube. I also believe the headset is the original steel headset fitted when it was built. The paint job is quite unique with the Mercian colours on the seat tube and full lug lining.

Rear dropout spacing is 126mm and the front is 100mm.
