FS: Giant Cadex CFM 3

Reub

Dirt Disciple
Hi folks, I am selling my Giant Cadex CFM3. It is in good working order with a new sealed cartridge bearing headset, ritchey brake blocks and grips. Tyres are nearly new Atomlab 3's. Some scuffs and light scratches, worst on on the rear mech and cable rub on the headtube. Otherwise in very good shape. The seat shown is a leather covered specialized seat, the original Giant Gel seat is also included but it needs re-covering. Always been kept indoors. Gears and brakes work well, wheels are original and true. Frame/fork are very light. Dropouts are both removable bolt on, so it could be converted to horizontal dropouts/ss quite easily. Price is £300 posted or £275 picked up from Cardiff. Thanks for looking!

Ah, good point! Yes, size would help. I'm 99% sure it is 18" c/t and 21" c/c but will double check tonight.

Hi there,

nice bike... good nick! I've got a 91 CFM 2 and still using it regularly on my 14 mile commute (28 round trip) mostly along canal path.. hoping to get a new fork for it... I think you said you have a new headset in your frame... a bit cheeky of me but do you happen to know what size it is? 1" or is it 1 1/8" ??

many thanks and for any buyers out there this is a brilliant frame...

cheers

G

No problem G, its 1 1/8th. The Shimano STX headset is really good IMHO. It's buttery smooth and very sturdy feeling, due to its proper sealed replaceable races (not cup/cone). You can get the headset for around £15-20. Cheers. Reub

fantastic! thanks for that!... was pretty sure they were 1 1/8"... so glad they are as nice 1 inch steerer forks are rarer than these beautiful Cadex frames!!

hope your bike goes to a good home!!

Cheers

G

Our moving date is fast approaching, so I have decided to drop the price to £225 if someone can collect the bike within the next couple of weeks. It's in great condition, rides beautifully. I spent almost £100on it recently, on the new headset, tyres, grips, bar ends, and replacement (second hand) shifter, so a bargain to be had I think. Send me a PM if interested :)

Some stand-over measurements if helpful:

ground to top of top tube (at the seatpost lug) is 74cm

ground to top of top tube (measured vertically against front of the bottom bracket) is 75cm

ground to top of top tube just before the headtube is 78cm
