hi,
can i make dibs on this shipped to the uk while we figure out shippping details. Im concerned about how much it will cost at customs, etc...

thanks

I'm happy to answer any and all questions, but dibs belongs to the first guy to hit the Paypal SEND button. Sorry, but too many prospective buyers here have been calling "dibs" and then going silent.

Fair enough angry,

having done a bit of research taxes will add about £150 to the total price if shipped to the uk. If it was a 19 id be sending the monies now, could have lived with a 20" at that price without the taxes.

For now i think ill say im out, sorry if you feel ive wasted your time.

thanks

No worries, and i don't blame you one bit. The import taxes you guys suffer through are ridiculous! Somthing like 15-20%, right? And no, you didn't waste my time at all. You had questions, we had a chat, you got back to me promptly, its all good. Good luck with the hunt for a 19".

2.5% DUTY + 20% Value Added Tax. The real kicker is you pay the same 22.5% on the cost of the postage and insurance. Piss take!

thanks for your understanding.

I think I am right in saying, anything over a value of £15 has VAT added at 20%, if over £135 then Import duty is added in ADDITION to the VAT. It does depend of course the countries involved and what the goods are.

So a frame set from the US to the UK at £500 for example, with shipping at say £75 and insurance at £25, a total value of £600, will attract,

VAT at 20%=£120

Duty at 4.7%=£28

The £500 bike becomes £748.

Hope that helps!?

Good luck with the sale.
