FS: duell zurigo

Duell Zurigo, size 55 cm (horizontal top tube), Columbus SLX tubing, fantastic condition: this was bought NOS less than a year ago.

Currently built up with mid-2000s Ultegra as shown in the photos, plus a variety of new and old bits. I'm having to make a bit of space due to a house move, and this is sadly going to have to go. It's one of the sweetest-riding bikes I've ever had, so much so that I cavilled about whether to sell this or my Enigma.

What gets sold is open to discussion: anything from just the frame and forks to the built-up bike. The only bits I can't sell are the wheels (present from wife) and the saddle (present from mum).

Price obviously depends on what you want, but for the frame and fork alone I'd be looking for £275.

I can send more photos and a full spec list if anyone's interested. The bike lives near Brighton.

Elev: space! I have four drop-handlebarred bikes, two cruisers and a mountain bike. Plus my wife's five bikes!

When I get out on it I love riding the Duell: it really is the sweetest-riding frame. I genuinely wasn't sure whether to sell this or my Enigma (so if anyone's interested in an Enigma Echo...), and I won't mind if it doesn't sell!

Was wondering because I remember you liked it better than a ti bike (Litespeed?) you had/have.

Judging from the pic I would say you could have benifited of a frame 1 or 2cm taller. Is this assumption correct or didn't you experience anything?

Not sure... I think a slightly bigger frame (560 mm top tube?) might have let me use a shorter stem (that's a 115, so I could have gone to a 105: normally I ride a 555 mm top tube with a 110 stem).

But it hasn't affected how the bike rides, and I've been able to reproduce my standard riding position, so it's really comfortable and handles well. What's not to like?

PS I think that modern Deda stem makes it look a bit unbalanced, because it's so big in profile: I had an NOS Cinelli one on it that looked a lot neater, but it broke. (As a result of which I can tell you that riding 12 km home no-hands is not much fun...)
