Bought it for a mate but didn't get on with it...frame a bit the wrong size too, I'm keeping a few bits from it

2003/4 ish matt midnight blue 853 Merlin Rock Lobster
Seat-tube 19" centre to top
17" centre to centre
Top-tube 21.75" centre to centre atual(about 22" effective)
Head-tube 4.5"
BB shell 68mm
Seat-tube requires 27.0mm post (i'll throw in a EA50)
V brake or disc

Some tyre rub inside chainstay and seat stay...no chainslap. Low miles

i know its sold already and damn it i missed it :twisted: just wondering is that Paul Sadoffs' signature along the top tube? is it one built by his own hands or were Merlin allowed to put his name on it?

It's def. a Merlin with a Sadoff signature :?

Most Merlin rock lobsters had the signature on them as the decals were supplied direct from US i think.

Easy to tell a Taiwan R.L. from a Sadoff R.L. On the U.S built frames usually no chainstay bridge, super tight tyre clearance(california is much drier than UK!) Sublime welds and quite deep headtube reinforcing collars and Bonty style gussets. These are all U.S features
