Front Mech problems SOLVED - thanks

The levers click but no movement from the mech? cable tight, Mech does work But levers wont move it. Its on the big chainring

are the screws on the mech set properly ? the ones which limit the mech amplitude .

Yes. I can move it with my fingers. But once wired up no movement :cry:

The shifters are pulling the cable through aren't they? Is the cable moving?

what bike is it ? maybe outer cables are not rigid enough .

My XT Trimble. It worked today but the clicks weren't correct with the mech so i'd tried to put movement correct with chain now clicks but no movement :cry:

Is the cable sat correctly in the shifter? Is there a cable port(for replacing cable without taking the shifter apart) where you can see it actually moving the cable?

this is 10 min job :shock: i wish. continue tomorrow :cry: Some thing wrong when the industry spends £££ on sh**ty FS but don't invent some thing better than cables. But then that wouldn't sell to the kids would it

Have you got a top pull when you need bottom pull (or visa versa) ?
