Front mech clamp size???

As the subject, does anyone know the clamp size for a 1990 Cinder Cone?. The mech that came off didn't have it stamped anywhere :cry:

In addition, if I acquire one that is too large, is it easy to get a shim to make it fit :?: ...Cheers...Nick

I'm 99% sure it's 28.6mm.
