Freehub or Freewheel?

The freehub/wheel in the pic looks as though it's some kind of hybrid. The socket which takes the removal tool is not the normal Shimano size (but one I use for Campag fits) and the sprockets are Shimano. Apart from the removal socket there also appears to be a lockring but I've no idea what removal tool to use. I haven't seen this type before. Any ideas much appreciated.

It's a Shimano freewheel. The tool you need has different splines to Shimano cassette lockrings used on Shimano freehub bodies.

TL-FW30 freewheel tool is the correct Shimano tool for the job, but there are plenty of aftermarket alternatives.

A bench vice and the right technique is also very handy as freewheels are usually very tight to remove.

Thanks to all for your replies which as usual are very helpful.
It seems that this particular cassette is a cross between the MF-TZ20 and the MF-TZ500 the former being 7 speed and the latter 8 speed. As such it's probably extremely rare and I should put it on ebay for a £1000 BIN price. ;)
