I've had a brainwave. It doesn't happen too often, so thought I'd write it down. As some of you might know, I've been after a set of Z1 internals for several months now. At the same time, I've got a set of Z3.5 which apparently clock in at 100mm travel - same as the Z1. Do you see where I'm going with this...?
From looking at the manual, the Z3.5 has one 'live' leg and one dummy leg. Providing the stack height of the internals on the live leg are the same height as a standard Z1 stack, it should be a straight forward swap?
The only other complication I could think of was if the end plate within the lower legs (i.e. which the foot nuts secure on to) were a different height between the two models. But with them both being 100mm travel and for 26", they must be much of a muchness...
Will investigate tomorrow, but your thoughts welcomed. Will it work?
