Frankenstein rescued! - Fisher Prometheus - Part 6 - First ride

How did I miss this thread? Absolutely incredible repair effort! Not to take away from the awesome result, but I especially like your blast cabinet.

So who is the mystery Ti welder?

Thanks and finally a bite on the tease. 🤣 The amazing welder is Gavin from Coal Bikes, absolutely diamond person and master welder. Check out www.coalbicycles.com …. we don’t have a connection but I highly recommend his modern bikes and work 👍

Spotted the "Coal" apron, but did not know that was actually the name of his shop. He definitely has earned a shout out, it looks more like a factory weld a la Fat Chance TI seat tube than a repair.

This needs to be entered into BotM.

Curious, were you not able to file the repair welds to blend the seams due to risking structural integrity?

Slow progress again, chain and NOS pedals fitted, M732 black Canti's to match the hubs cleaned up and NOS pads fitted. Flite swapped out for period Turbo......unfortunately the M732 STI units ST-M091 were lost in the post from Hungary, still looking for alternatives.....if anyone has any in excellent or NOS condition please PM?

Anyway I will keep looking over Christmas, hopefully ready for the first ride in January :)
