Thought I would share this beautiful Frank Lipscombe classic road bike. Frank Lipscombe was a frame builder and had a shop in Markhouse Road, East London.
Bit of a back story to it, my Dad bought this bike second hand in the 70’s and used it to commute to work. We recommissioned it about 20 years ago but it went back up in the loft after little use. It’s back out again and I am going to spend some time cleaning it up and refurbishing what I can. But it’s in great shape.
steel, lugged frame with original decals.
Mavic Montherly Route lightweight Sprint Rims.
Tubular Tyres.
Campagnolo Hubs.
5 speed, Campagnolo Gran Sport rear mech (not fitted).
Stronglight cranks
Dual Campagnolo shifters
Lyotard Berthet Pedals, toe clips and leather straps.
Cinelli Bar and IL Primo Di Lusso Stem.
Mafac Brakes.
I don’t see many of these bikes out there so think it’s pretty rare.
