Frame welds on RSP titanium original or ???

Good point, these ones were painted. Doesn't explain the double welding though, although the lack of paint could be after a repair.

I disagree as there was no mention of it in description, and other similar frames I've seen sell for less. I think it was bang on the money, minus the repair, or including, if you're aware of it and it doesn't bother you.

In fact if i hadn't had my time wasted and already bought this there was a similar m trax that finished sunday for less money and a whole bike :/

"yes it has been welded not to repair a crack but the paint showed a slight mark indicative of weld failure which wasn't the case. However as precaution I had welded more for my OCD than necessity."

He has offered a refund, which I gladly accept.

lesson learnt, examine photos closely and not just on an iphone!

FWIW, I agree. It certainly went higher than I was prepared to pay for it. Had I known it was repaired, my max bid would have been lower still.

The seller clearly knows more than they were initially letting on given they've had the wherewithall to know what possible frame failure looks like, and find a specialist welder to fix it.

It is plausible there was never a problem though as paint is notoriously bad at sticking to titanium - and I can tell imagine normal stresses producing frame failure like appearance. I have some painted titanium forks, and there's one place where you could actually peel the paint off like nail varnish if you had a mind to.
