This is my first attempt at crackle finish which has been a bit of a learning process .I striped and primed the forks & frame flatted off ,
next I painted the forks with the base coat dried it with use of a heat gun left them for 40 minutes then applied the the crackle finish heated very quickly on hottest setting of heat gun.I manged to get a good result ( I think ) I then painted 1/2 the frame and that was no good as I could not heat it uniformly so the crackle didn't crackle in some places .I then removed the top layer ( the Crackle ) to reveal the base colour then repainted tube by tube.
I would like to hear your thoughts positive or negative I will take it like a man!
I am now waiting for the frame to completely cure before applying the lacquer.
