Frame sticker/decal removal - Puch Prima

Does any one have any idea how to remove original stickers from the frame without damaging the paint. I have remnants of original decals (which are more like spray applied) and want to clean them off, but the only way I can seam to do it is with my thumb nail, which is taking for ever.

The paint is in good condition and is a very nice metallic mid blue which I would like to keep.

Shortly after posting this I tried nail varnish remover - and it worked a treat - all off in about 20 minutes and nice clean metallic blue frame - fab.

I will have to try that, I have a Raleigh pursuit and the clear stickers have thus far resisted all attempts. hot air, Brake cleaner, many solvents, thinners, WD40. everything ?
