Frame identification help please?

Help, can anyone identify this frame?

What I know:

It's British, 531 throughout, takes a 27.2 mm seat pin, has Gipiemme drop outs without mudguard eyes, has heart cutout lugs and has a 4 digit number stamped on the steerer and bottom bracket which in this case is 5793 and is a small font that's not very deeply stamped.

Original colour was light metallic blue and it was in a pretty poor state so I've given it a quick rub down and a coat of primer before I work on it properly.

Does it look familiar to anyone?

It looks familiar due to it being virtually identical to thousands of frames out there. I can't see any distinguishing features to identify it as a particular builder. Lugs, fittings etc. are of a common type but I would say that it could be from the late 60's/ very early 70's looking at the BB cable guides, top tube cable run etc. Appears to be a good solid typical (probably) British frame by a competent builder. Number means nothing to me - but someone may recognise it.

Yes I know, that's the problem its just too common looking sadly but I was hoping it would be recognisable by someone.

Familiar really is the problem with this one.

Standing in my garage looking for some parts I happened to look at my Falcon Professional and was surprised by how many things were the same on this frame, its obviously not one as there are differences (mostly tubeset) which completely rule that out but apart from the fork ends and rear brake bridge take of the identifying decals and everything else is the same.

This got me to thinking is this a different model of Falcon from the same vintage as my Pro? I'm sure I've seen an Olympic that looked very similar but can't find any pictures now.

Does that help anyone? Or make it worse?

A little update on this one.

I've been trawling the internet looking at pictures of old steel frames (lockdown boredom) and found a few frames from Geoffrey Butler that either look identical to my frame or almost identical, also he seemed to like apart from a lot of white the light metallic blue my frame started out in and as far as I can tell he used a 4 digit numbering system.

The only things I haven't seen in the pictures I've found are where the numbers would be found on a GB frame and what they look like and can't confirm whether any of the ones I've found have Gipiemme rather than Campagnolo ends so can anyone shed any light on either of those for me?

Another little update

I've just picked up a frame that I know is a Geoffrey Butler as it still has its original paint and decals and this one has the same Gipiemme ends which answers that question.

This new frame is a little later as it has under BB cable guides brazed on but has no numbers on it that I can see so doesn't help there unfortunately.
