frame identification Columbus EL OS MTB?

Hello bikers,

Can you please help me identify this frame, i can not find anything on the WWW about it.
It is equiped with a Rond 1 fork, and i think it is from the early 90's

Here are some pics, details are the cantilever, lugless weldings, increased saddletube size on top and the sticker...

Thanks for watching!
Chris.

Interesting.

The smooth welding and Columbus tubing is reminiscent of MBK:

but I don't think your bike is one.

The seatpost looks like a MAVIC. The bottom bracket cartridge appears to be fitted from the left, which might suggest French or Italian threading. Do you know happen to know which? My guess would be Italian.

Thanks for the reply!

The seatpost is indeed a Mavic 26.6 mm.
The bracket says Shimano 1,37/68, but the crank side is mounted on the non crank side.. i really dont know....
Bracketsize of the frame is about 68mm.
It has some details that look like a Cinelli, but it is not the same.
brakes are M-732 and cranks M730-170mm.
Wheels, Paralax XT Hb-m 730
Maybe this helps to date it....
Weight is 13.4 kg.

Greetings Chris.

It's probable the fork and Parallax hub are later additions, and the rear derailleur is much later, so check for date codes on the other parts - brakes, cranks, etc. Shimano used a two letter system for dating components:

The wide-profile brakes suggest a date around 1990.

It looks like a nice frame, and the good quality components suggest an expensive bike. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thank you very much  the help is apriciated!!!, the crank is from may 1989 (code NE) front derrie from Januari 1990 (OA) and brakes are from March 1989, so the dating is quite right!
The fork is from 94-95 i guess. Maybe someone wil come by and recognize the frame!
There is no serialnumber in the frame, So that doesnt help either...

Re:

Search the web for Italian frames or ask an Italian member bud.... The only thing i can think of is Atala as the country is flooded with them but i don't they made anything of merit.

Re: Re:

Thanks for the reply, believe me, I spend hours of searching with no results..
That is the reason I hope to find an answer here..... :D
