Frame drilling & lug nuts for bottle cage

Re:

Thanks for the input guys.

Greta minds I was just watching that link lol very helpful :)

I ordered a rivnut thing in end as it came with the M5 rivnut, only 12 quid delivered. I'll take some pics when I give it a bash let ya know I get on.

Also ordered new bars n stem n bottle cages tonight, another hundred quid haha. Be worth it though when the sun comes out.

Re:

Evening folks.

Tonight I drilled my frame for the first time and installed some lug nuts to allow me to install another bottle cage. 1 just isn't enough if I wanna go out into the sticks on a 50 miler, so having just 1 bottle has been really holding me back from spending more time on the nana.

Anyway pleased to say it went without a problem, nice easy install, wasn't too pleased to be drilling into it lol but, yeah I am really pleased now.

Some pics for anyone else wanting to have a go at this, it's really easy, I know it is because even I could do it

Only thing I would like to add is, when it comes to installing the second cage, don't concern yourself with it lining up with the other cage, that's not important, if you do this you may find you do not have enough clearance to get a large 750+ml bottle in and out easily, so make sure you have enough room, or you could go with side loading cages which would be a good workaround.
