Yogi bear, your Animal watch is a model number W003 from the mid 90's. It's an unusual colour as is quite a rare model nowdays. The 06 number on the case back has no meaning to my knowledge. Worth around £40 at the moment, but I predict prices will rise as fewer early models are coming on the market now like this. I have pictured my W003 which is part of my early Animal collection of W001, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

This has to be my favorite Animal watch in my collection. It's a first generation W004 professional chronograph with dials that measure minutes, seconds and tenths of seconds. I have fitted a genuine Animal velcro nubuck strap. This was made mid 90's and is very rare now in fully working condition.

My first ever Animal watch that a bought brand new in 1993, the classic W001. This has been on loads of rides over the years and is still going strong. It even still has it's original Animal velcro strap! These early ones are built well are now very collectable.

Out of my collection of early Animal watches, the hardest and rarest to find in working condition has to be the 90's W010 ANILITE. This model has a light feature which at the press of a button attractively back lights the whole dial at night. The reason this is so rare is the fact that it uses a bigger flat battery for extra power that has a tenancy to leak when the watch has been stored for a few years and thus destroys the inner workings. I bought a couple of non working ones before finally obtaining this mint one that was still in the box.
